Chai

I chose 18 to be the number of days that people pledge to notice their judgments because it has a very special meaning. Each Hebrew letter has a number, and each word has a gamatria, or total numerical value. The word chai is חי in Hebrew. The value of the ח (chet) is 8 and the value of the י (yud) is 10 in Hebrew, adding up to 18. The word chai (חי) means life in Hebrew. The reason this of all words is very important is because you should always remember to live life fully. To be present, to be aware, and not to waste it. This ties into my project because you are being aware of your judgments, you want to be present in your life and not waste your time having judgments.
