Day 11 and Day 12

Today, go online, on the tv or look at a magazine and count how many times you see an influential ideal (for example, women have to be skinny) in one article, commercial, or magazine. You can send in what you observed and how many times you saw an influential ideal to noticingjudgments@gmail.com or just keep them for yourself.

Media

Notice when your judgments are based on the media, press or the ideals and images that you see on a daily basis. Media can be extremely influential on the way that people see the world. Who says we have to be so beautiful? The media. Who says that we need to look inhumanly perfect? The media. Our ideals about life and body image are created a lot by the images we see on a daily basis.
